Briefing on HSGE Ballot Strategy

Action Pay
Months after promising us negotiations at the end of the 2024 pay round, the government choose to stick with the discredited PRB process for this year. Unsurprisingly, NHS pay is overdue.

We’ve been working to highlight all the problems caused by continual delays for members and the service.

We want the government to sit down with UNISON and other unions to put NHS pay right. Currently, it won’t. And without action from us, that seems unlikely to change.

That’s why the HSGE is getting prepared and has agreed a ballot strategy for how we will seek to challenge the government to come to the table for talks.
The first step is a consultation of all members directly employed by the NHS in England launching Monday 14 April.

Our new briefing for activists sets out the HSGE ballot strategy for England and next steps for branches.
Hard copies of the briefing will be available in the campaign zone at health conference.

Please read the full briefing here and share amongst your UNISON member colleagues and on social media.
